Brief history of my career. I studied Fine Art, History of Art and Gothic Architecture under Henry Bird at Northampton College of Art.

Trained as a draughtsperson progressing to management.

Worked trained and studied civil engineering attaining BTEC ONC.

Managed a Graphic Design Studio for over 6 years trained on several CAD and 3D CAD courses.

I missed drawing boards and the freedom and character of hand drawing especially Pen & Ink.

I decided to start working freelance in 2000 hand drawing commissioned Pen & Ink illustrations.

I am passionate about detail and capturing the character whether the subject be architectural or a pet.

Where possible I prefer to meet with you show you my portfolio of full-sized prints of previous commissions and take the photographs myself. This enables you to have a better appreciation of the size, scale and pricing, however often I work from a client's emailed photographs when this is not practical.

You choose which photograph you would like me to depict and we discuss your preference regarding artist license.

I give you all the photographs in the case of a pet at no additional cost.

Up to a certain size I mount and frame the illustration.

I scan and save the image to a disk or memory stick for you to utilise freely, additional prints of a family home for family members, web sites, personalised stationery, post cards, place mats and coasters etc.

I do work with various mediums such as pastels and water colour.
